Healthcare resumes for clinicians, allied health, and administration
Healthcare CVs that lead with license, specialty, and patient impact — not duty lists.
What hiring managers in healthcare actually want
Healthcare resumes get filtered first on credentials: state license, specialty board, BLS/ACLS where relevant. Put them at the top, immediately readable. After credentialing, recruiters look for setting (Level I trauma, FQHC, academic medical center, telehealth) and patient population (pediatric, geriatric, oncology), because hands-on experience in setting X transfers cleanly to setting X elsewhere and slowly to setting Y. Quantify caseload, panel size, or procedure counts; "managed 18-patient inpatient panel" tells a recruiter more than "provided patient care." For administrative healthcare roles, name the EHR (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and the compliance frameworks (HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission) you've worked under. Avoid "team player" language — every healthcare role is a team role; the differentiator is what role you played on the team, not whether you were on it.
